Group E-Transit City-UBST 505

This blog represents the work done by students in the UBST 505-The Transit City-Special Topics in Urban Studies course at the University of Calgary in the Fall semester of 2009. This project proposal was researched by four students and a final report will be proposed regarding an exurban transit corridor between the City of Calgary and the Town of Okotoks. The current initiatives for this proposal will include a proposed rail line connecting Okotoks and Calgary through a transit corridor and densified nodes through Transit Orientated Developments in each region. The project will examine current land use and transportation policy and will propose recommendations for amendments to existing land-use policy enabling future growth and development.
